Exclusively crafted for arboreal pets like jumping spiders, praying mantises, and small tarantulas, the LightVent Glass Tower seamlessly combines elegance with practicality. Its innovative design ensures superior ventilation and effective humidity control, prioritizing your pet's safety above all else. This creates an ideal environment for your pet's health and visibility, giving you peace of mind.
As part of our jumping spider enclosure series, the LightVent complements the AeroVent, each tailored to meet different environmental needs. Visit the Arboreal Glass Towers page to discover the differences and determine the best fit for your pet's habitat.
Key Features of the LightVent Glass Tower:
Our observation panels are made with high-quality glass that outperforms acrylic by providing a clearer, distortion-free view and being more scratch-resistant. This makes it ideal for photography and videography. This ensures you have the best possible view of your pet, alongside benefits like easy humidity control and excellent ventilation.
Three Access Points:
- Top Access: The removable top glass, primarily used during initial setup, minimizes disturbances to jumping spiders’ habitats; a ventilated plate can be used instead for additional airflow.
- Bottom Access: It features a magnetically attached ventilation plate for easy maintenance and can accommodate an optional substrate tray to enhance humidity control.
- Rear Access: Includes dual 15mm ports designed for secure and efficient feeding and hydration. 8cm and taller enclosures offer a magnetic access rear door for greater convenience.
Efficient Ventilation System: The LightVent doesn't just provide ventilation, it excels at it. It uses the 'Stack effect' to drive 'Cross-ventilation' to ensure a high flow of constant air circulation, which is crucial for your pet's health. This enclosure is designed with ventilation lines on the rear panel that are 0.45mm wide, spaced 10mm apart, and a ventilated bottom plate with lines 5mm apart. This setup not only prevents escapes but also ensures the safety of tiny spiderlings. You can trust the performance of our ventilation system and learn more about it in our article on why ventilation lines should be used instead of holes or meshes.
Humidity Control: Due to its extensive airflow, LightVent's humidity depends mainly on the room's ambient conditions. Keep the enclosure in a humidity-controlled room. Additionally, you can use the classic misting method, add watering jars at rear ports, or place liquid feeders inside as additional evaporation sources. The ports and rear door facilitate easy misting, allowing for quick hydration without risk of escape.
For species requiring higher humidity, frequent misting or room humidification is recommended. The AeroVent edition is better suited for such species, with a substrate tray that directly integrates to maintain optimal humidity levels. TIP >> You can also purchase the substrate tray and use it with the LightVent edition, but the ventilation plate MUST be used either at the bottom or top to ensure cross ventilation is always in effect.

- Size and Customization: Eight sizes are available to accommodate pets from spiderlings to adult stages. But it doesn't stop there. You have the power to choose between glass or vented plastic covers or both, as well as an included rear door or no door. This level of customization allows you to create the perfect habitat for your pet, tailored to their specific needs.
- Structure and Materials: This high-quality spider enclosure uses clear glass, lightweight white PLA PRO plastic, neodymium magnets for secure closures and arthropod-safe adhesives.
- Enhanced Functionality: Explore the Spider Shop menu for accessories that enhance this enclosure, like a hide, watering and feeding jars, magnetic dishes, and more.
Each spider enclosure includes a glass core, a removable bottom ventilation plate, an optional top glass or ventilated plate lid, two plugs, and an optional rear door.
Additional Considerations:
- Magnet Safety: Handle the powerful neodymium magnets carefully to avoid cracking the glass; it's best to slide them into position while not losing grip gently. Enclosures 12cm and smaller only use two magnets on corner sections.
- Maintenance Tips: Distilled water can prevent calcium deposits on the glass, aiding in maintenance and clarity.
Care Instructions: Due to its predominantly glass construction, handle your jumping spider, mantis, or tarantula enclosure with extra care to prevent damage.
